Mona and Borna’s wedding at Palm Royale was a refined fusion of Persian tradition and modern glamour. Centered around a custom sofreh aghd built from the ground up by the Beyond Bloems team, the celebration reimagined heritage elements through a clean, elevated design lens.
Beyond Bloems provided full-service floral design and event production, creating a cohesive experience that honored cultural significance while delivering a contemporary, design-forward aesthetic.
Ceremony Design | Custom Sofreh Aghd
At the heart of the ceremony was a fully custom sofreh aghd, designed in an all-white palette of fresh florals and modern sculptural elements. Built entirely from scratch, the sofreh served as both a symbolic and visual focal point, reflecting the couple’s cultural roots in a refined and contemporary way.
The design emphasized balance and intention, allowing traditional elements to feel elevated without losing their meaning.
Venue Design | Courtyard and Interior Transformation
The design unfolded across Palm Royale’s courtyard and interior spaces, creating a seamless flow between environments. From the grand floral staircase to the reception setting, each area was thoughtfully styled to maintain visual continuity.
White florals were paired with berry-toned candlelight and soft gold accents, introducing warmth and depth while preserving a clean and sophisticated palette.
Reception Design | Stage and Focal Moments
A custom gold backdrop framed the couple during the reception, serving as a luminous focal point for the evening’s events. The stage design balanced modern structure with soft detailing, creating a setting that felt both elevated and personal.
Layered candlelight and floral moments throughout the space enhanced the atmosphere, allowing the design to transition beautifully from day to evening.
Design Approach
This Persian wedding in Houston reflects Beyond Bloems’ approach to blending cultural tradition with modern event design. Each element was carefully considered to create a cohesive and immersive experience that felt both meaningful and visually striking.
Mona and Borna’s wedding stands as a thoughtful interpretation of tradition through a contemporary lens, offering inspiration for couples seeking a refined and editorial approach to a Persian wedding celebration.
