Rio & Nick | A Rooftop Wedding and Brunch Reception in Houston

Rio and Nick envisioned a wedding that felt intimate in size but expressive in every detail. Their celebration began above the Houston skyline at Thompson Houston before unfolding into a candlelit brunch reception at Annabelle Brasserie, where the atmosphere shifted from bright and airy to warm, layered, and inviting.

The floral design carried that story from beginning to end. Sculptural arrangements in rich burgundy, raspberry, blush, and fresh green introduced bold color without overwhelming the architecture of either space. Sunflowers, hydrangeas, garden roses, and cascading textures were composed less like traditional centerpieces and more like living works of art, creating movement from the ceremony aisle to the reception tables.

Inside Annabelle Brasserie, a classical statue wrapped in florals became the visual heart of the room, surrounded by abundant arrangements, glowing candlelight, and a palette that felt romantic, expressive, and quietly unexpected. Every table offered a different perspective, yet together the room felt cohesive, allowing the flowers to guide the eye while preserving an effortless sense of intimacy.

With just twenty six guests, every detail felt personal. The result was a celebration that proved a smaller guest list doesn't mean thinking smaller. It creates space for thoughtful design, meaningful connection, and an experience where every element feels intentionally placed.
