Intentional and unforgettable, Demi and Michael’s wedding was designed as two fully independent reception experiences within a historic wedding venue, allowing guests to move fluidly between intimacy and energy throughout the night. Rather than a single multipurpose ballroom, the celebration unfolded across two distinct spaces, each with its own mood, rhythm, and purpose.

The dining room was conceived as a formal, timeless reception space. Round tables were styled with all white low floral centerpieces, creating an atmosphere that felt refined, classic, and welcoming. The layout encouraged conversation and connection, offering guests a calm and elegant environment to enjoy dinner without distraction. This space honored traditional wedding design while setting a serene foundation for the evening.

In contrast, the second reception space was designed as the heart of the celebration. As guests transitioned into the party room, the experience shifted entirely. Lounge seating and high top cocktail tables surrounded a dramatic central dance floor, creating a layered, immersive environment that felt energetic yet intentional. Three custom focal installations anchored the space: a bespoke DJ booth, a champagne tower moment, and a floral framed cake display, each positioned to draw guests deeper into the celebration.

One of the most defining elements of the design was the installation of custom 20 foot green trees, built on site and wrapped around the dance floor. These trees brought scale, movement, and natural texture into the room, transforming the space into an elevated indoor garden with a modern edge. The effect was dramatic yet refined, offering a sense of grandeur without overwhelming the room.

While the party space carried the energy of a sophisticated nightclub, it remained unmistakably a wedding. Guests were given the freedom to fully immerse themselves in the music and movement or step away without leaving the experience entirely. Balconies overlooking the dance floor allowed for moments of pause and observation, while the nearby dining room offered a quiet retreat for conversation and rest. This intentional flow encouraged guests to experience the wedding at their own pace, moving seamlessly between spaces throughout the evening.

The overall palette of green and white unified both rooms, ensuring cohesion while allowing each environment to stand on its own. Every design decision prioritized beauty, comfort, and emotional connection, resulting in a celebration that felt immersive, thoughtful, and deeply personal.

This wedding exemplified how intentional spatial design can transform a reception into an experience, offering guests not just a place to celebrate, but a journey through atmosphere, movement, and memory.
