Hosted at Ronin Art House, this modern editorial baby shower was designed as a bold and immersive celebration honoring baby number three. Envisioned by Alexis Lewis and created for her 32 closest friends and family, the event transformed the venue into House of Aiko, a fully branded experience named after the baby and rooted in intention, personality, and elevated design.
From the moment guests arrived, the space was designed to feel personal and thoughtfully curated. Guests were welcomed into the main reception room with handwritten thank-you cards from Alexis and received six custom branded game cards, immediately setting the tone for a playful yet heartfelt afternoon. Rather than a traditional baby shower format, the experience prioritized connection, movement, and storytelling.
The primary tablescape embraced a modern, elevated aesthetic. Lush blush and red florals anchored the design, layered with tapered red candles and rich cherry accents woven throughout the tables. The palette felt confident and expressive, striking a balance between softness and boldness while reinforcing the intentional departure from traditional baby shower styling.
As the celebration unfolded, guests were invited into an adjacent room, where the energy shifted entirely. This secondary space, transformed into Club Aiko, introduced a more dramatic and celebratory atmosphere. A cherry red velvet pipe and drape installation framed the dance floor, creating a nightclub inspired backdrop that contrasted intentionally with the softness of the reception space.
Design focal points anchored the room, including a custom sweet wall, a fully monochromatic red two tier cake topped with cherries, and a champagne tower filled with bubbly and cherry garnishes. Each element reinforced the concept of indulgence, celebration, and joy, creating a space that felt sexy, confident, and unapologetically fun.
By designing two distinct environments within the venue, the event allowed guests to move fluidly between moments of connection and celebration. House of Aiko was not just a baby shower, but a statement. A modern, nontraditional celebration that honored motherhood, individuality, and the freedom to celebrate milestones in a way that feels authentic.
This editorial baby shower offers inspiration for clients seeking an immersive, design forward approach that blends intention, personality, and unforgettable atmosphere.
