Melika & Yuval | A Persian and Jewish Wedding at The Springs Event Venue

For Melika and Yuval, the most meaningful part of their wedding was never choosing between traditions. It was finding a way for both families, both cultures, and both stories to exist beautifully together.

Their ceremony centered around a custom design that brought the Persian Sofreh Aghd and the Jewish Chuppah into one shared experience. Rather than separating the two, we reimagined the Sofreh as symmetrical displays framing the Chuppah, allowing each tradition to be honored while creating a ceremony that felt seamless, intentional, and uniquely their own. Thoughtfully designed ceremony cards welcomed guests into both cultures, offering a deeper understanding of the rituals they were witnessing.

That same sense of connection carried throughout the celebration. A custom monogram, illustrated stationery, perfume bar, dance floor, and carefully curated details all spoke the same visual language, creating a wedding that felt cohesive from the moment guests arrived until the final dance.

Following the ceremony, the room transformed while preserving its heart. The Chuppah and Sofreh remained in place, allowing the space where vows were exchanged to continue shaping the evening's celebration. Soft florals, layered textures, and an elegant palette brought warmth to the reception while honoring the architecture of the venue.

Just weeks before the wedding, Melika experienced the loss of her father. His memory was woven into the day with quiet intention, reminding everyone that weddings often hold space for both celebration and remembrance. It was a deeply personal reflection of love, family, heritage, and the people who continue to shape us across generations.

More than a wedding, the day became a beautiful expression of two families coming together, proving that honoring tradition doesn't always mean following it exactly. Sometimes, it means creating space for something entirely your own.
